Introduction to Dhading District - Bikash Lamsal -8 - Advance Academy

Dhading district is in Bagmati zone which is one of the seventy-seven districts on Nepal. It is surrounded by 6 districts in the east, west and south and by China in the north. The headquarters of this district is Dhadingbensi. It has an area of 1926 square km and a population of 3,36,067 according to the census 2011 AD.

This district has mountaineous, hilly and plain areas. It is one of the neighbouring districts of the capital city Kathmandu. The main spoken language is Nepali and the majority of the inhabitants are Hindu. This district is quite different from other districts of Nepal due to its own geography, population, natural flora and fauna etc. This district has 11 rural municipalities and 2 municipalities. This district is also famous for tourist destinations including Pashupati Temple, Siddalek, Jyamrung, Ganga Jamuna etc. This district has moderate climate throughout the year.  Agriculture is the major occupation of the people in this district. Thre are many well-known rivers like Trishuli, Aashi and Thoppal.
